TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST:

A common list of reasons for errors you should know very well before requesting support from BOF Admin:

  1.  The Machine ID and NinjaTrader login Username are missing, incorrect on your Account Profile page.

  2.  Slow wi-fi connection may produce: No license error

  3.  Make sure your antivirus app is not blocking NinjaTrader: No license error

  4.  The Break at EOD on Properties for Data series (upper menu Data) is not the same on all working charts. Make sure it is consistent across all charts. I have a Break at EOD activated by a checkmark on all my charts.

  5.  Tick Replay is not activated on the NT or a particular chart.

  6.  Multi-connection is not activated on the NT.
  7.  Data connection is not Rithmic.

    Pack 1 requires data Level 1
    - Pack 2 and Pack 3 require data Level 1 and Level 2
    - Pack 4 requires data level 1 Rithmic specifically. MBO works only on Rithmic data level 1

  8.  Data corruption is provided by the data source. Refresh NinjaScript and Historical Data.
     
  9.  The other 3rd party indicators are outdated and need to be removed

  10.  NinjaTrader platform errors - and not caused by BOF indicators

  11.  Windows time is not synchronized and lagging.

  12.  Corrupted stored data files

  13.  Double writing historical data on Heatmap/ Past for or BOF Price line

  14.  Time, date, and language format are not USA English

  15.  NinjaTrader installed on Onedrive instead of C drive

  16.  The error occurs when you install a chart template without all the indicators included in this template on your NT. You can easily fix it by resaving the chart with indicators installed.

  17.  Some errors produced by VPS servers / Dedicated servers, and moving to another VPS or home computer can be a fast solution.

  18.  Error " Unable exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" is a NinjaTrader platform error that can be fixed by renaming the database.
     
  19.  Conflicting Workspace charts on the Active working Workspace and Workspace charts running in the background. 

  20.  Running too many charts and tabs simultaneously can produce errors. Minimize the number of open charts and tabs and restart NT.

If you have errors after double-checking the common errors above for optimization, cleaning, and preventing common errors, please follow the preparation steps:

PREPARATION STEP 1:

- Clean Data, NT Cache, and BOF writing files with NT Optimizer ttps://bestorderflow.com/free
- Reload all Historical data by right-clicking on the chart or pressing CRL+SHIFT+R
- Reload NinjaScript by right-clicking on the chart or pressing F5

PREPARATION STEP 2:

Identify the proper source for help and assistance by asking yourself a few simple questions:

What is the cause of the error?

- caused by BestOrderFlow indicator?
- caused by other 3-rd parti indicators installed?
- caused by the NinjaTrader platform?

Where to find an answer:

Review the error details in NinjaTrader's Log tab. If the error message does not mention BOF indicators, there is no reason to contact the BOF Administrator for help.

Open the Log tab on the main administrative NT window. Make a copy of the Error Message and screenshot.

- If the error message includes one of the BestOrderFlow indicator names, send a direct message to BOF administrator on Discord.

- If the error description does not include Best orderflow indicators' names, there is no reason to contact BestOrderflow Admin.
- Please connect to the NinjaTrader platform help, and submit your ticket for assistance to them.
- If the error mentions other 3-rd party indicators, connect directly to the source of that indicator.

PREPARATION STEP 3:

A proper way to get the fastest support from BOF Admin:

1) Close all other workspaces (gray icons) running in the background except the current (green icon). You want to exclude errors from charts running in the background workspaces.
2) Close all charts and all tabs on all charts. 
3) Add one new NQ or MNQ chart on a 30-second time frame. 
4) Add only the Bestorderflow indicator you want to run and test to the chart. Make sure you have only BOF Best orderflow indicators on that chart and no indicators from other sources. 

If your error is caused by the BOF indicator described in the Error Message log, connect BOF Admin via Direct Personal message and submit details:
- I followed the troubleshooting checklist thoroughly.
- screenshot of the Error pop-up message,
- screenshot of the Error Log
- copy the text of the error message from the log
- name of the indicator you need to help with
- full screenshot of the chart with that indicator (s) on a small time frame (30 seconds) and instrument name visible, such as ES or NQ, as an example.
